Bamford's Patent

At centre is a fine example of a Bamford's Patent "Perfect" Root Cutter.  This type of machine was used for slicing root crops such as mangle-wurzels and turnips for cattle feed.  The Museum also contains a variety of other cutters, mills and grinders such as chaff cutters and gorse shredders etc. which were all used in animal feed preparation.
